All AZ Fed member Guilds are invited to make BABY BOOTIES for the MOURNING PROJECT
The Mourning Project is a community fiber art project to draw attention to the problem of infant mortality in the US.
The project hopes to collect 23,000 pairs of handmade black, white or gray baby booties – one for every baby lost per year in the US. These “little elegies” will become part of a travelling art installation to draw attention to the problem of infant mortality. The United States has the worst infant mortality rate in the developed world.
