I have been weaving for
almost 40 years and producing handwoven yardage for designers and
fiber artists since retiring from teaching weaving in 2006. I have 8
looms in constant states of progress and I do all work myself with no
helpers or computers.
My average warp length is 50-70 yards. The yardages range from
medium-weight fabrics using cottons and/or rayons to up very light
and sheer weight using cottons and/or rayons.
The stoles I create are varied and unique using
cottons, rayons, chenilles and some wool/mohair.
The scarves, very light and fine, are of rayons and silks and were
HGA Award winners in 2007.
The
Raggy Cat Pin Cushions are my own design and are made from
commercial fabrics that make me smile
The
Fabric Flower Pins are 'made from scratch' needing 17 steps to
complete.
